Book Delay/Patreon Censorship
Prequel Updates
I’m still in the midst of rewrites for this book and am going to push the release to February.
After reading the first draft, I decided to put back most of the scenes I had cut. The current ending I have is too abrupt. Toward the end of the story, I skipped over a lot of things because the book was getting too long. I thought we may not need those extra chapters, but after a re-read, I think we do. I think it would be a more complete story and also flesh out the characters more.
I intended for this book to be “short” but it’s turning out to be a full-length novel and will probably be around 85-90k words. This is kind of crazy, considering Corrupt Idol is only 56k words. We go deep with this one. It’s sweet, disturbing, uncomfortable, tragic, and many other things. It’s taken me on quite the emotional rollercoaster. I can’t wait to share it with you all!
I’ve decided to name this book, Corrupt Obsession! Once I complete the rewrite and have covers, I’ll put up a pre-order!
For now, I’ll leave you with this:
He was losing his mind. Girls threw themselves at him, but the only one who interested him was sleeping in the bedroom next to him. Who rode to school with him every day, who he ate dinner with every evening. Guys who thought it was shitty to be in the friend zone had no idea what utter hell it was to have the love of their life see them as their brother.

If you want to read the raw draft, it’s currently being uploaded on Ream.
Patreon Censorship
I’ve been posting the raw draft of Corrupt Obsession on Patreon and Ream, which is a subscription readers pay to have early access to the story. The other day on Patreon, I saw that the snippet of the day was missing. I thought I had accidentally deleted it and reposted it with an apology, only for the same thing to happen the following day. And then I saw this email:
Patreon’s policy on consent:
As you all know, this book will have explicit non-con, which Patreon doesn’t allow. This doesn’t bode well for the release. I doubt Amazon will allow Corrupt Obsession to be published, but I will try to get it on as many retailers as possible, and it will be available to purchase directly from me. The raw draft is still being posted on Ream, though, so if you’re interested in getting a sneak peek, you can read it there! I post 5x a week and subscribers will get the book ahead of the general public if they’re subscribed the month the book is published. They also have access to my private Discord community where readers gather to discuss each new snippet! It’s great fun!
Conclusion
I will try to get through these rewrites as quickly as possible!
Thank you for helping me shut down the account of someone who was impersonating me on Bluesky! That was bizarre.
The crackdown of non-con literature on retailers and even payment processing companies like Visa, Stripe, Paypal, Shopify, etc taking a stance against it means the authors won’t be able to sell their own work in future either. It’s extremely unsettling. I wonder if authors will just have “fade to black” scenes in future??
I don’t like how dark romance is being targeted while crime fiction and horror authors can describe gruesome murders and cannibalism and other topics and we get completely banned for this one element in the midst of a full-length story. It seems to be the biggest taboo today and can not only get your book banned, but your account permanently deleted. We’ll see how this all works out.
Thank you for your support and I’ll obliged to all of you for spreading the word when this book comes out! Hope you’re all having a great start to 2025.
