Impersonator

It’s been brought to my attention that someone is impersonating me on Bluesky social. An author who has been interacting with this account thought something was off, so they reached out to ask if this was me. I just wanted to remind everyone that I do not have social media as Dinah Harper.

The author who was interacting with this person sent me part of a message from them: "As for me I started writing as a way to cope with the isolation I felt growing up, and I turned to stories to escape and express myself . As a reader, I gravitated toward romance, and eventually, I felt compelled to write my own love stories, particularly ones that centered on queer characters." Based on this comment, I don’t think this person has read me, yet feels comfortable claiming my name and work for their own and is also reaching out to other authors to talk about “their” writing. Who knows what else they’re doing?

I don’t know what to think about this. I don’t know what their intention is in impersonating me or what else they will do so I wanted to remind everyone if you find an account like this, it isn’t me. I don’t plan on having social media for Dinah, but if I do, I will let you all know. I’m worried that especially with this prequel coming out, readers will search for me on social media and stumble across someone like this and start messaging them and I’ll be held accountable for whatever nonsense they say. So, please spread the word or remind others who read me that I don’t have a social media presence as Dinah. Also, please help me report this account to get it taken down.
